Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Jaxon is 6! He had his birthday party on Saturday and had a blast. We've never really done a real party where he invites friends and plays games. Usually it's just family and we eat dinner or something. We played a couple of games that I remembered from my birthday parties (remember the candy-bar game and the taffy-on-a-string game??). We also had an Easter egg hunt and ate pizza with homemade root beer. (Jaxon just couldn't believe that his dad knew how to make root beer!)We had cupcakes and ice cream and root beer floats, too. Kenadee kind of ruined the candle blowing-out part by blowing 3 of the 6 candles out before Jaxon had a chance...so we had to relight and try again.
The party was a lot of fun, but I'm glad it's over! (Thanks Leann and Randi for your help with the cupcakes and hiding Easter eggs and cleaning up after. It would have been crazy without you!)

My parents sent 20 dollar bills and emailed a card for Jaxon to read. He couldn't believe he had so much money. He yelled out, "I'm Rich!" when he saw the dollars. It was so funny! He is now trying to figure out what he wants to buy with his money. Isn't it funny how much harder it is to spend it when it is your own??

Jaxon is such a good little boy! I am so grateful he is my oldest child. He is always trying to make good choices and is such a good big-brother to his sisters. It's so hard to ever punish Callie, because if she cries, Jaxon is right there giving her a hug and telling her that it is okay. He is very smart and loves to figure things out...he must get that from Rob...Jaxon loves to skateboard, ride his bike, play any both soccer and baseball, read, and play X-Box. He brings so much happiness to our lives and I'm so grateful for him! We had to wait a long time to get him here, but he was worth the wait!
