Grocery store nightmare

Kena lost the battle with the automatic door at Lins

So today, I HAD to run to the grocery store because we were out of milk. I usually like to wait until Rob is home from work so that I can go by myself, but instead I had to drag all 3 kids with me. We actually made it through the entire store without any major drama, until the check out line. As I was waiting for the lady to finish ringing me up, Jaxon and Kenadee made a mad dash for the automatic opening door. Just as they got there, the door started closing and smacked Kenadee in the face, throwing her completely across the floor. It was awful, and there was nothing I could do. Poor Kena has a nice shiner, a scraped up arm, and I'm sure will wake up with a headache in the morning. And just to top the whole thing off, I apparently left my wallet there and now have to go back and get it-I am not taking kids with me this time:) What a day!

Callie

Ellie and Kenadee

Today has been a long day, and it's only 3:30! After 3 weeks of hectic-craziness, today has been pretty slow. Grandma Nancy got to watch lots of grandkids the past few weeks, and we've been over at her house helping out, or else the kids were over here playing. Kenadee and Ellie thought they were pretty hot stuff with their high heels and glasses, and decided to share their fun with Callie. She wasn't so sure! It was so nice for Jax and Kena to have cousins to play with-they get so bored with just each other and me to look at all day.

Tomorrow is Rob and I's 8 year anniversary. It's crazy that we have been married so long! I got my present early, and I love it! You know you've been married for a long time when you get excited about a washer and dryer for your anniversary.

Baby Blessing

We blessed baby Callie on the first Sunday of July. She was awake for the entire blessing and didn't make a peep. Rob said that she just looked around at everyone trying to figure out what was going on. She was a little angel during the whole sacrament meeting. Too bad that I can't say the same thing about Jax and Kena. Those two sure are crazy, but you gotta love them! Atleast I had my in-laws and my own family to help us get through the meeting. I wish they could be there every Sunday so I didn't have to deal with the kids on my own each week. Most sacrament meetings are hard-especially when I have to leave and go feed the baby-but it truly has been a blessing for Rob to be in the Bishopric, and I wouldn't trade these experiences for anything!
Thanks to all the family for coming to support us on this special day. We really do appreciate all you do for us, and it meant a lot for all of you to be here!

Getting Started

Well, we are officially jumping on the band wagon and doing the whole blogging thing. I've wanted to do this for a while, but haven't wanted to figure out how. Now that I am actually getting started, there doesn't seem to be much to it. We'll see how it goes!
