He's Five!

Happy Birthday Jaxon!! I can't believe you're 5! You had a busy birthday-weekend. It all started on Friday night with a cousin sleep-over. We made a big bed on the living room floor for you, Ty, Mason, and Colin to sleep in. You guys were up WAY too late laughing and playing and watching T.V. , and then you all got up WAY too early and were ready to play again.

After breakfast, we rushed over to the MS Walk to support Grammy. All of the Star Wars characters were there, and I am so bummed because I didn't have my camera. Aunt Nadine got some cute pictures, so hopefully I can get them from her. After the 3 mile walk, we went over to Pirate Pizza and had a birthday lunch for you with the Richey's. Nadine and 3 of her kids, and Karlie and Hayden were also there. Plus your good friend Jaxon P. came too. You loved being the center of attention!

When we got done at Pirate Pizza, we came home and changed your clothes, and then rushed to your soccer game. You had so much fun, and you do so good! I love to watch you play! You are getting better at being more aggressive, and you just LOVE it!

When your game got over, it was time to head home and have yet another party. This time we had the Esplin family over for taco salads, and an Easter-egg hunt. You scored pretty big with presents this year...you got so spoiled!

Some of the things you got were: a scooter, lego's, a stomp-rocket, an alarm clock (which you really wanted!), a skateboard-van toy, a "knock-off" wii sports game, etc. etc. You had a blast, and this morning, you asked me how many more days until your next birthday....it's going to be a LONG year!

We love you so much Jaxon! You are such a sweet boy, and you try so hard to be good and do what's right. You HATE to be in trouble, and you really try hard to do things to make your dad and me happy. You love to surprise me by making my bed for me in the morning, or by cleaning up the living room before anyone else wakes up. You make having 3 kids not such a hard thing because you are such a good big brother to your sisters. You help me out so much by playing with them so I can get dinner ready, or get ready in the mornings. I am so happy you are a part of our family! You bring so much life and happiness to our home! Happy Birthday Buddy!

It's Official!

My parents got their call . . . they are going to Zimbabwe! Africa is soooo far away! But my dad served there when he was 19, and is ecstatic to be going back. Even though my kids and I will probably go crazy without them, I am happy for them. They are providing a wonderful example for us all. Congrats mom and dad!

Lots of stuff

These are some older pictures - but I wanted to post them because I thought they were hilarious! Ellie brought her play make-up down with her when they came for Presidents day, and she decided to give the girls make-overs. All of the adults were in the other room, and we kept hearing Olivia say "so pretty!". We finally decided to go check on them, and this is what we found...

The Easter Bunny found some play make-up on sale and got it for Kenadee...but after this incident, I have convinced the Easter Bunny to give that make-up to some other little girl...any takers??

Adalyn had her birthday party over the weekend, and we celebrated at the LaVerkin park. The kids had so much fun playing, and the weather was BEAUTIFUL! I am so excited for spring...but I am dreading the summer!

Here is a picture of my newest niece - Sophie Brielle Esplin -
I think she is so beautiful, and I can't wait to meet her. Congrats Linc and Jen!

And lastly, I wanted to post a picture of my parents. This is a photo they took to turn in with their mission papers...what are we going to do when they are gone?? Their papers have been turned in for a month now, so the call should be coming any day. I can't think about them leaving, because it is too unreal. But anyways, my parents don't update their blog because their internet is sooooooo slow, so I will keep you posted about their call!

Eyebrow Trim

Now I know lots of kids give themselves haircuts . . . but has anyone had any of their children shave their eyebrows???

Jaxon got a hold of Rob's nosehair/earhair/eyebrow trimmers, and decided to give himself a trim. Only problem was that their wasn't an attachment on it - it was straight razor.

He is actually quite proud of himself, and loves to show everyone - he even shared it for show-and-tell at preschool.

Jaxon's eyebrows are usually REALLY full and thick. So for comparrison's sake, I am going to post a before picture. Then you will be able to appreciate just how much eyebrow he took off!

Oh Jax . . .
