When Linc and Jennie were here over Linc's fall break, Jaxon and Ty had a sleepover at our house. They were playing "Lego Star Wars" , and Jaxon was apparently annoyed for some reason. I just love the look he is giving Ty!

The things kids say!

* Last week I was enjoying my "quiet time" while Kenadee and Callie were down for naps, and Jaxon was having his "quiet time" on my bed watching a cartoon. Just as I was really getting into my book, Jaxon comes out of my room and tells me that he just ordered something for Rob and he wanted me to come see what he ordered. I was completely confused, so I just followed him to see what he was talking about. When I came into my room, the t.v. was paused on a commercial for the "Total Home Workout Gym", and the 800 number was on the screen. Jaxon told me that he called that number and tried to order the machine because he wants his dad to be "stronger, like uncle Jade"(yes, Ronnie, he said Jade). I was trying so hard not to laugh because he was so serious. He is always so thoughtful . . .

* Then today, Kenadee came into our room early this morning, and laid on Rob's arm. After a few minutes, I heard her whisper, "Dad, you smell like stink. You need to have a shower!" She is so funny, and always keeps us laughing!

A: Jaxon: Go shopping to look at swords. I wish I could see a real sword."

Happy Birthday Rob!

Rob turned 30 yesterday! I can't believe it . . . 30!
I threw him a surprise party on Saturday, and I totally got him. He almost ruined everything, but thanks to Leann and her amazing stalling skills, I pulled it off.
This was the ploy:
Rob left the house at around 2:30 and took 2/3 of the kids so I could "have a break". My mother-in-law (Leann) then called him to come over and help her get her new cell phone working. And as a thanks for fixing her phone, she offered to babysit the kids so we could go to dinner. Leann did an awesome job of stalling (including "getting lost" at Ben Franklin, and dragging him to Roberts Crafts to look for a certain something that she supposedly"needed"). But at 5:45, Leann called me and said he was on his way home - PROBLEM - no one was coming until 6:00 and he wasn't supposed to be home until 6:15. So I hurried and called everyone and asked them to get to our house NOW! So everyone rushed over, and just after everyone got here, Rob called and said his mom had made him stop and get the kids dinner at McDonalds and go in to eat. He was not happy!
When he finallywalked in the door, he was totally shocked! And the party turned out to be so much fun! I was stressed out all week trying to throw this together, but it was totally worth it! I'm just bummed I didn't get a picture of his face . . . I did, however, get some video of it, and if I can figure it out, I will post that.
Happy Birthday Rob! You are an amazing husband and father, and we appreciate all you do for us. We love you!!

What Talent!

My little girl is so talented! She loves to cross her eyes just to freak me out. Before Rob and I had kids, I used to work for a Doctor that did surgery on kids with eyes like this. And watching how they have to cut the muscles around the eye and then reattatch them in a different spot is pretty . . . weird! Needless to say, I still get a little squeemish when I think about it, and seeing her eyes like this brings back those memories.



Jax is such a good brother! He is always playing with Callie and making her laugh. He makes having 3 kids not such an ordeal. Cal just LOVES him!



This NEVER happens for me! All 3 kids asleep . . . and at the same time! And the best part was that this was on my birthday, so I didn't feel obligated to do anything while they slept. After I moved them from the car to their beds, I just curled up in my own bed and read a book. It was the best birthday present I could have asked for!
